Nutrition Facts
Now that you have dined out for the day, you start to question your daily intake. Perhaps you paid attention to what you fed your body; perhaps you simply ate whatever sounded great at the time, no matter the nutritional value. Let's look up the nutritional value of the choices you made!
|
- Begin by making a copy of your Menu Choice worksheet and renaming the copy Nutrition. Delete the price, tax, and price with tax information including the headings.
- Change the page orientation to Landscape and the Margins to Narrow.
- Add the following "new" headings and use the format painter to copy the format to the new headings in this row.
- Calories
- Calories from Fat
- Total Fat (g)
- Trans Fat (g)
- Sat. Fat (g)
- Sodium (mg)
- Sugars (g)
- Carbs (g)
- Use the Format Painter to continue copying the format of the initial spreadsheet columns to the new columns created above.
- Widen the columns as needed to fit the heading information.
- Use the Center Across Columns feature to re-center the title and subtitle in Rows 1 and 2 across all of the columns of the spreadsheet.
- Review your SUM function formula in the total rows and edit if necessary to add up the Calories column. Copy this formula across all nutritional columns.
- Format all of the number cells to a number with one decimal place.
- Save!
- Using the Internet, look up nutrition menus for each of the establishments that you dined at and find the nutritional information for the choices you made throughout the day. Add this information in the appropriate spaces in the spreadsheet.
